Superman in the Bronze Age Episode 14 -- October 1971

Welcome to episode 14. This time out, I'm joined by Michael Bradley from The Thrilling Adventures of Superman podcast. Together, we see Superman kill a woman, Krypton's first flight, Superman killing the President of the United States, and how much trouble one little boy can cause for the Man of Steel.  Plus, a few tangents and we see what else is happening in the DCU this month.

  1. I don’t know about anyone else, but I was quite surprised to see another story featuring a Superman doppelganger in issue 243, following the showdown with the Sand-Superman in issue 242. Not that I’m complaining – I’m a sucker for ‘evil twin’ stories – but didn’t anyone at DC think to hold back on another Superman story with a double for maybe a couple of issues at least? What are your thoughts on this?

Great show as always - thanks again for the trip down Memory Lane.

    Best wishes from England,
